This is a real danger period for Subi given we had a bye in round 6, play 3 games then have a break for the state game followed by another bye meaning we play 3 games in 6 weeks. Sure it gives the players an extended break and some such as Horse, Dela, Boland and Menagola a chance to recover from injury but when you're winning imo it's better to keep the momentum going. If we start to struggle after the next bye in my view we can lay the blame on ridiculous fixturing to a large extent.

Ummmm..... Don't think so BC. A minor inconvenience sure but I think its not going to derail Subiaco when you are obviously the best team in the competition by a country mile. Complacency is Subiaco's greatest enemy from here.

can't say I agree there mike...you've only got to look at the result against the feral eagle WARTS to see we're well and truly beatable and scheduling 3 byes including the state game within six weeks isn't great.

I guess time will tell but given Subiaco's injury problems and that East Perth has been the only blip on a perfect season so far, you are looking pretty daunting if you come anywhere near back to full strength. I think you are stronger than last year given the addition of guys like Robinson who will get better as the year goes on.

yeah...fair point, we did lose a few last year but seem to have recruited well. if we do get anything like a full squad on the park I reckon we'll be there abouts at the pointy end. my one concern is in the ruck. losing stockley for the year wasn't great and young Madut is doing ok but he's only 21 and been playing the game for a few years so come finals time up against experienced guys like Johnson, Sinclair at WART and Griffin, Hannath and Moller at FART we could be exposed big time. as you say, time will tell I guess.

''but seem to have recruited well"

"losing stockley for the year wasn't great and young Madut is doing ok but he's only 21" This is what normal clubs face BC, can't have the entire world at your feet, not even Salariaco !
