Well it wasn't much of a game from a spectators point of view tonight but it was pleasing to see Subi put some damage on the board in the last quarter and killing off the brave Tiggers who have been our bogie side over a few years winning 8 against us in the last 10 match-ups.

The Tiggers were impresive for the first 3 quarters with Subi's bad kicking keeping them in it but just when Claremont hit the lead midway through the 3rd (against the breeze mind you) - Step up Shane Yarran. Subi put the foot down and Yarran showed his class in a ten minute masterclass including a mid - air goal that was something else !!! (Yarran did a similar job on the Sharks last year when it counted to get us over the line)

In the last Subi put on a show to make the win look more impressive than it probably was but I no complain !!! The tackling and run was great from the Tiggers and I think with a few guys to come back like Swift,Seaby,Master and Murphy etc they will be in and around there as the season progresses.

For the Lions the forwards needed better delivery but it was a windy old night and they kicked away with the game using the strong breeze advantage in the last quarter. Wheeler started to get his radar going up forward after missing a few easy set shots early in the game and took some strong contested marks.

Best for Subi over four quarters was Blech ,Yarran for his spark up forward and 5 goals, Kitchin (looks ready made to rack up possies in the WAFL & kicked a great snap goal) and Wheeler for his great effort with a 5 goal reward.

The Tiggers had some impressive players - Yeo was best I thought with Ledger not far behind followed by first gamer McAdam with a promising three goal performance and I thought number 2 Keifer Yu had a go throughout the game.

Of the new players for Subi I thought they all played their part with Kitchin a standout,Lockyer got better as the game progressed, Hancock looks a good pick-up and young Fimmano showed a bit but got caught once as he adjusted to the pace.

Horsley looks well short of a run and will get much better,Woodsie slotted straight back in. Garcia was under pressure a few times but will improve as will Bryan and Madut. Phelan and Mahoney got a bit of the cherry and the backline tightened up although Wortho (although he picked up disposals)had his hands full with 3 goals against him with young McAdam.

Subi's strength this year will be their forwards once they all gell - plus there's Deluca,Boland and Halligan to squeeze back in up there ??? Also Menegola and Robinson were out and would be handy in our best 22 one would think ???

Anyway 4 points first up and a tough ask against Hampson's Sharks next week at Shark Park - They looked impressive 2nite on the tv. See you in the Shark Pit for a few froffies !!!
