I was just thinking the other day how fortunate we've been over say the last 10 years with some of our Victorian recruits. Names like Richard Maloney, Mark Haynes, Dave Robbins, Jason Bristow, Dave Mapleston, the big ruckman from St Kilda whose name escapes me but worked for Shell as a petroleum engineeer and did his knee before the 2009 GF I think it was, then we have current players like Boland and Delahunty have all been fantastic for the club. Hopefully Kitchin will continue the trend but our recruiting guys have done a pretty good job over the years of plucking guys out of obscurity and having an imapct at WAFL level that's for sure.

Any other names jump out?

Michael Rix was the name you were looking for BC and yes he was very good for us too.
had a few duds in earlier times and the Queenlanders that Scotty Watters recruited were no good but agree we have generally been pretty lucky lately.

that's it Jjim...Michael Rix...well done. He was indeed very good and as a big bloke, had a work rate second to none. I was also a huge fan of Dave (Syrup) Mapleston as well...another big guy with an even bigger tank.

Chris Grumley was a solid player in 95 I think it was. Pretty sure he only stayed for the one season. Had alot of talent. Short nugget remember him?

cant say I do remember him DG although you're quite correct, he did play in the 1995 GF according to the WAFL website. Mind you, there's only one thing that stands out from the rest about the 95 GF and least said the better. I refuse to even write the number thirty seven in numerics as it makes me feel sick.

Nah terror you are mistaking him for the other bloke who was wearing white. Didn't you blokes fly him over from melbourne for us to poach him? Leedy?

Had Graeme Shultz back in the 70s who was excellent at the end of 1975 but not as good after that and Vinnie Cattoggio. Peter Hall was good for one year.
