Absolutely stoked for him. What a champion player and bloke. Great role model for any young footballer. Must be some red faces on the All Australian selection panel tonight.

Tiger I think they are referring to a home grown Subi boy, the great HB senior was from Vic I think, 3 Sandovers and 3 Brownlows, he must have been a freak.

Your right about pace, but Matt does have elite skill in his reading of the game and handball, he makes the outside runners look very good with his distribution. Reminds me a bit of Diesel Williams, couldn't run out of site in a week but a quick mind and lightening fast hands. Williams would have struggled to get drafted these days, the same as Matty.

Well done on the medal I guess hard work pays off and reputations don't count. Its a shame some media outlets over east have alluded to MP not being worthy of the award. I was a little shocked when he won but he is very deserving and shouldn't be looked at as "not a worthy winner"

As Turtle said, bit average any of the media to say he is not deserving. I just happened to catch a few minutes of Round 1 replay on Fox Footy tonight Priddis swooped on the ball , then proceeded to kick long inside 50m - a flour bag floater gave forwards no chance.

My point, not a good kick for AFL, but does many other things to off set it
