That was poor. One of those days. The score flattered us although we did control alot of the 3rd but poor goal kicking again let us down. Good wake up call. The tiges were good & they had quite a few good players out from last week.

Well done on the Tiggers beating Subi today - again !!!
Thank god they're not in the finals as they could cause some dramas.

Subi started the game like they didn't want to be there showing no intensity,
desire or hunger. The Tiggers to their credit looked switched on and focused.
Subi were without Yarran who was a late change which did change up the forward line a bit. Subi lacked run and crisp disposal in the 1st while Claremont ran free, tackled hard and kicked well. They had a commanding lead at 1/4 time with good efforts from Neates,Murphy and Blackwell but the whole team did very well. Subi had reasonable efforts from far less but Horsley,Phelan and Leishman had a go.

The 2nd was more of the same with the Tiggers again looking better than Subi with the same best players as the 1st but Daniher,Davies,Ledger,Taylor and Yeo got a bit of it.
Subi average but a little better with C.Deluca,Jackson(who got injured) and Mahoney starting to get involved. Subi's disposal was still poor and Claremont tackled and ran hard. Subi bombed it into the forwards while Claremont looked for leads and targets.Late in the 2nd Subi started to control the footy but it was not reflected on the scoreboard and the Tiggers deserved the halftime lead.

In the 3rd Subi looked much better but just couldn't get goals as the Claremont backs worked the ball well from defence and they scored a couple of easy vital goals while Subi blasted away getting mostly points. Subi would have had 70%+ of the play but the tiggers to their credit kept up the pressure. Poor kicking in the 3rd probably cost Subi any chance of victory.

In the last Subi tried but weren't good enough and Claremont held on for a well deserved win. Subi lacked any hunger early on in the game and hence the loss.
Claremont were better in the 1st half and Subi controlled the 2nd half but were too far down and didn't kick straight.

Claremont had a far better team effort with everyone doing their part while subi had too many passengers.Subi's forwards looked un-organised and we got beaten through the middle. Bristow looked sore Hampson gave us nothing in the 1st half and Halligan and Josh Deluca weren't sighted. Mcdougall didn't do much after being in cracking form in the last month.
For subi Horsley as always played well although he slowed down after he and Phelan carried us in the 1st half while Latham got a bit of it and Chris Deluca tried his guts out without much help down forward with great running pressure and tackling.

For Claremont it was a good team effort - with Neates,Handley,Franz,Blackwell,McGovern and davies plus many more having an influence with no passengers and not many beaten on the day.

Subi got it up forward as much as Claremont but the Tiggers had far better stucture and more options when it went in and the disposal was cleaner and faster.
Well done to Claremont and a good wake-up for Subi that if you don't play well each quarter you can easily drop a game. I look forward to how Subi respond ???

I can't believe what I'm reading here, this is the first game we've won this year which hasn't been due to the umpiring.
Frustrating finish to the season, the finals have always been out of reach for a while now but the form has been good enough to trouble all comers. This loss may be good for you blokes.

That fkwit loves the sound of his own whistle & carries a mirror in his back pocket. The young lady next to me said its the worst umpiring display she has seen all year & they are usually pretty good...not sure i agree with the last bit
