Any chance of a review of the game, did anyone make the trip up? Chopper you must have made the journey with your gummy mates? Would be nice to get back to talking footy without these numbnuts demons trolls and their pathetic comments. Bugger me they win a couple of games and think they are gods!!

Two weeks in a row the opposition has not made the most of their opportunities, definitely our backline & midfield pressure contributed to Souths inaccuracy would like to know if that was the case against the gummies. Was expecting our backline to be a bit of an issue this year after losing Shuff & Randy but Twomey has slotted in exceptionally well and we now have a decent forward line with a range of targets as shown by the spread of goal scorers, 12 I think which is a very good indicator that they are teaming well.

Will have to see which Claremont team turns up but if we take current form in we must be an excellent chance. Good chance that Horse will get a run, how far away is McDougal? When he is back we will have a very competitive ruck combo with Stockley and the occasional run by Delahunty. If we can keep everyone on the paddock this season we can challenge for a finals birth but the comp will be very tight this year with Perth on the rise and I'm sure Joondy will settle in and get some form as the season progresses, plus anyone who takes Swans lightly will do so at their peril after their brave showing against the cheats.

Yep made the trip up to Gero - The towns looking good since my last visit. They've cleaned up the foreshore and dolled up the place nicely.

Drizzled at the start of play - crowd no more than 1000 but nice and vocal and a great atmosphere. A few Subi colours but mostly Killer Sharks.

Subi started fast - a goal before the Sharks blinked and before they knew it they were down 3. Good 1st 1/4 by the Lions got it out of the middle and used the handball well playing on at every chance.

In the second the Sharks woke up but their disposal and entry and shots at goal up forward would have had Stavros pulling his hair out. They were desperate enough but with poor use of the footy and average decision making they failed to put enough damage on the board. Subi deserved to be in front at half time but probably only by a couple of goals.

In the 3rd the Sharks had a crack and looked like they may draw level as it was Subi's turn to kick a few out on the full up forward but then when East looked to threaten, Subi went up a gear and half way through the 3rd to the final siren made the Sharks pay.

Subi played well but the Sharks had a dirty day and they can play much better than they showed. Subi won the ball more through the middle, more big man options, had better structures applied more pressure and played smarter team footy with more effective disposal. When the Sharks stuffed up usually Subi made them pay.
Subi backs clogged the forwards well and worked it out with Rumble spoiling and Twommey the sweeper. Hilda had it on a string and Bristow was good along with big Stockley and Delahunty. Good options up forward in Waters/Yarran and Chris Deluca had his best game. Hampson and Phelan did well and I was most impressed with Stevenson who played down back for a change and did a job. Latham got caught a few times and from what i've seen needs a run in the magoos. Young Elliot and Kennedy didn't play as well as last week but Josh Deluca played better. Young Joyce played well,Mahoney/JKT a bit quiet. I liked the way the backs worked as a team. The on-ballers set it up for Subi as this is where I thought we'd get smashed. The joy for Subi is they can rotate so many through the middle.

For the Sharks nobody tried harder than big Youngy he rarely plays a bad one and gives 100%.Dalziel and Mcnamara played ok. Was suprised when I saw the stats for Rory Obrien but he didn't realy hurt Subi. Hadn't seen Boston Williamson before and he showed a bit. I thought Chartres did a few good things down back but a few of the Sharks supporters still have the jury out on him i think ?

The Sharks are better than that and Subi did play well. I liked the fact that when East came close the Lions pulled away and went up a gear.
Not sure where Subi are at but if they play more like that then a spot in the four's a chance. Can't make the Tiggers game this week so hopefully someone can give a summary ??? Should be a good game after the Tiggers bared their teeth.

Enjoyed the Sat night in town at the Feemasons Hotel - some dickhead in there was dancing with a chair, I saw an old guy trip over an invisible step and some chubby guy playing cards with himself with a funny shirt on ??? also for some reason i've got sore nipples ??? gotta luv Gero - looking forward to the next trip - well done to Cass and the crew for organising everything - Much appreciated.

Any theories on the cause of the sore nipples?

I take it Perth must have 55 one point players - no recruits at all.

Nobody seemed to care about our recruits last year when we finished second last.

And then on top of that losing Randall, Grover, Parker, Forrest, Daye, Sinclair, Wood, Sheed, Gum and Herring, we had to act or risk getting pummelled by the alligned clubs.

Agree LH but please don't put "The Fish called Wanda" - Herring - in as a loss ???

Turn it up !!!

Yes, fair point mate. Good match report too!

The hypocracy of some opposition supporters does beggar belief though.

Can't see any clubs getting out of line in terms of recruiting with the points system in place. But if any club wants to fork out more than a player is worth, then so be it. In truth, I don't see any superstar recruits at any of the clubs this year - including Subi. Perhaps Sellar at South is the biggest name, at least on paper.
