Just looking at our teams list in the West and wondering how much better we would be with these three running around. Sinclair potentially the comps #1 ruckman/forward, Michael Wood (a Nate Fyfe in the making) and Dom Sheed (the most likely to play more AFL than not) this states #1 draft pick.

A big part of the admission price we pay is to see these local lads run around in your teams colours and now through this extraordinary injustice we are now denied this. I can tell you what I will not be paying for the privilege to watch them play against us.

West Coast (I'm sure the instigator of this absurdity) is behaving like the New York Yacht club and will do anything to guarantee they have a reserves team still operating late into September (just in case they make the finals).

They are a club with no soul or sense of fair play.

Subi have "lost" three players to the alignment.......sheet that makes EF double figure numbers look miniscule......poor Subi

Sinclair was recruited from elsewhere. Sheed and Wood came through our development squads

We've been hit by draft only on rare occasions in the last 5 or 6 years mate.

Having said that, we are going to be hit pretty hard over the next 5 or 6 from what I've seen coming through.

But yeah nowadays you wish they were drafted by an interstate club. That's how absurd the situation is.

haha...mate I was wondering about that too. And Wood being from Sorrento=Duncraig JFC.....a well known Subiaco zone junior club.

Yep he learnt his football at Mines Rover.At least they claim his as their own product.

Yep, of course every junior/country club has the right to 'claim; a player as their own product. Why shouldn't they! But you stated incorrectly that both Wood and Sheed were pinched.

Subiaco, as I assume do all WAFL clubs, has country elite squads in place for players aged 14-16 as an aside from the regular combined country/metro development squads. From memory former Subiaco player Shane Joyce is in charge in the Goldfields and Kingsley Walker down at Esperance.

The set up is very similar in the city program and the country program nowadays.
