Very sad day for the club to see a true champ hang up his boots. Apart from being a top flight player and one of the best backs to play the game since the AFL interference, he was one of the most approachable blokes you could meet, always had plenty of time for the members and supporters and was genuinely interested in what us punters had to say. Also one of the funniest blokes you'd want to meet.

Well done Shuff, you leave the club a better place due to your involvement.

wouldn't think Rumba would get the gig astro....I reckon he won't be too far behind shuff in hanging up the boots. more likely to be someone such as horsley, bristow or JKT...but a blo*dy big loss all the same. parksy was Mr Reliable down back and an absolute ornament to the game. i could be wrong but i can't recall him ever getting reported...so imo he was very fair as well as being a champion WAFL player

Well said BC, He is one of my opposition favourites, never sherked an issue and when you guys were struggling to win games, he played outstanding footy. Good luck to him !

cheers Leedy...I must say my two favourite opposition players would both be Falcons...Paul Mifka for '95 GF and Leon O'Dwyer when he took out Ocker Robertson with an elbow in the '73 GF.
