Saw on Twitter that Sebit Kuek is playing for East Perth v Subi? How the hell does that work?

Playing ressies I believe Frothy as FART is taking on West Coast who don't have a ressies.

On another note, I see a $3.8m grant has been secured to upgrade lighting and the playing surface at Leederville. Not before time as both are pretty ordinary.

Reserves young man no need to panic. Just having a light run.

Used to happen occasionally in the days before aligned/host teams.
AFL players who's wafl team were having a bye  would be allowed to play ressies for another team usually the bottom team in the ressies.,
I remember when the Royals ressies hadn't won a game they played a returning West Coast player.
Amazingly they won the game and it could have been the only game they did win

Decent effort today.  They were always more efficient. Better kicks. Plus an advantage in the ruck. I think they won most of the stat's.

We're not that far off. Taj being fit helped. Our best kick by far.

A strange game this one. Subiaco have far less ball disposals and 9 less Ball disposals Inside 50 metres and only lose by less than a goal.

We were the second best team out there today, but I admire the way our boys stuck around, kept having a crack and almost snatched it.

It just looked like we're lacking a bit of confidence to take the game on which is confusing given the good win last week. Did we have a hard tag on Schumacher? If yes, it wasn't a particularly good one but if no, why not?

Kitch was clearly our best today and just gives it everything he has. Schofield did some good things, Savigni is a gun, Snadden continues to gets some good touches and Eaton a manful showing against a much bigger opponent.

There is a big gap between our good players and the rest. Hopefully they will develop over the rest of the year. The forwards seem to have no frigging idea what they or the midfielders are doing. How many times were the inside 50’s easily intercepted by EP marks by players on their own?
Apparently Subi lead the comp for inside 50’s, what a damming statistic!

So many times we transitioned the ball really well out of defence, with handball and hitting targets but once we get anywhere near the 50, that all goes out the door and the first option is to bomb it in, been like that for 2 seasons. Either the forwards are not moving enough and giving multiple options or the mids just forget what to do. EP were very slick with disposal, but maybe overdid the chipping around, but they did keep possession pretty well and the spread and multiple leads by their forwards was first class. Jones gave their mids silver service but I thought Eatons effort was terrific. So last week we knock off the ladder leaders and this week we miss beating the 2nd team by 3 points, so maybe not that far away, just need to be more effective inside the 50.

EP were no where near full strength, but neither were we, If EP get to finals with a near full squad, they will be very hard to beat. Schoemaker is a class player, his ability to break tackles was amazing and his disposal for the most part was excellent. While not in the same universe he reminds me of Pendalberry.
