With the bye this week, I thought it would be a good time to reflect on our year so far.  For mine, I think we've achieved much more than I thought we would.  I had us somewhere between 4th and 7th so to sit in the top 2 midseason is a fantastic effort by all.

Wardman should be congratulated for bringing the young fellas on as it has paid dividends.  I guess it was always a chance given our ressies and colts have done well the last couple of years but it took a few injuries to our older guys to give the youngsters an opportunity.

Standouts for mine are the increased maturity and output from the Hickmott's, Savigni, McGowan, Alone to name a few...Zac Clarke has been a revelation, Sokol terrific and Mayo continues to grow each week.

As we get further into the season, I hope our current form can continue and upwards pressure continues on the current squad as Lockyer, Snadden and co return from injury and others in the ressies push up.  If so, I think we're as much chance as anyone to give the flag a real shake.  

I’ve been surprised too BC, 8 from 10 and not a bad %, I’ll take that any day of the week. When we play well we are hard to beat but you can say that about most teams, old easts looked awesome belting us a few weeks ago, now they are 5th with the lowest % of all 5. I think we can get better, if we have a hard crack every game I’ll be happy. Tholstrup and Kent, not sure when they will be back but add quality depth, Tholstrup very important
