I haven't seen the team for this week but think we'll be in for a nice old shellacking going on current form and player availability.  Braut looked on one leg last week from about quarter time onwards and don't think we're due to get anyone else back from injury.

Hopefully, the likes of Eaton, Stergiou, Golding and co get some more league game time until the end of the season as we start looking towards 2023.  I also see a likely type in Filimone Muavou kicking a few goals in the two's.  At 22 years of age, 189cm and 90kgs, he could be another to try out in the seniors.

I think the weather may even things up a bit but even so Claremont by a lot.

BC it depends on which Claremont team turns up, they lose to EP then easily beat Joondy. When they are on they are arguably the best team in the comp.

We have shown glimpses of how we can play but so inconsistent and the fact we dont have a decent ruck is killing our mids.
It's going to be very wet so I'm thinking it's a good day the leave the car in the garage and watch the live stream. It's a long trip up and down from York in the wet to watch a shellacking.

Yes mate. I don't blame you one little bit. It won't be much fun driving all that way, sitting in the cold and wet then driving home again. We have shown glimpses in all games but just can't string 4 quarters together.

I agree with you on the ruck situation. Both Putt and Eaton have to play with Dela sidelined. Only going with Putt against Meek last week was a poor decision by the match committee as we got towelled up badly at the stoppages. Let's hope we're competitive.

Interesting that Braut's listed, maybe just a corky last week. This must be the first time it's a near unchanged line up all season.
Too little too late.

I'll go to the game but expecting a miserable afternoon. Rain and wind. Puddles. Hopeless. On the bright side,  clubrooms should be pumping. Looking forward to a beer afterwards.

In very difficult conditions I thought our endeavour and work rate was first class. If not for two critical defensive errors which resulted in soft goals the result could have been very different. As a group, we tackled and pressured the ball carrier and got numbers to where it mattered.

Good effort by big Putt to virtually ruck all day against two opponents, Sivagni was excellent in defence, Giro and the Hickmotts got plenty of it but otherwise no real stand outs which is understandable given the state of the ground.

A special mention to the umpires who I thought were pretty good as it can't be easy controlling a game when there's stoppages every few seconds and plenty of close contact.

A disappointing result to lose the game when we could have turned it around except for a couple of poor decisions in defence but a good effort nonetheless.

Concur BC about putt, giro, savigni, the umpires and the soft goals.

That said I thought Claremont looked the better team all day. Young talls looked more dangerous.

we need to shake our team and game plan up.

Interesting to see you still call them ‘petticoats’.  We used to call them the Brylcream boys, the uni gays etc in the days when they were always an easy touch.  They’ve come a long way since those days, but I guess it’s all about fierce rivalry.
