That was certainly a surprising score line.  If WC kicked straighter, then Subi lose by 2 points.  Still if and buts are worth Jack Schidt!!
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

Shows just where we are at the moment, WCER had just 6 listed players. In Subi's defence we had 6 of the players just recovered from Flu, Dela and Borch included, so didn't train. Borch was terrific given he only got out of bed yesterday.
WCER moved the ball very well at times but lacked a spearhead, which we did have with Borch and Sok getting 7 between them.
L. Hickmont shared BOG with Rotham who was excellent as a pinch hitter in the ruck, smart player with good skills who should be up at the next level. Robbins is improving with each outing, Maxy made a good return after his enforced holiday. Heal, Rhodes & Gus all good down back but Gus had a couple of brain fades late in the game, maybe he was one who had the flu.
Swans next week who took it up to flag fav's Joondy, they will be very hard to beat on their own dung heap.

Every win is precious at this time of year but it certainly wasn't a convincing display against a WCER who had a lot of no names. In fact we lost the disposal count, inside 50s, scoring shots but still managed a fairly good winning margin.

Dela was terrific again, Heal, Gus, Max, Borch, Soks all very good. Aside from them, I was impressed by young Robbins, Savigni and Stergiou is really finding some good form. The Hickmott's get plenty of it which is great but their disposal let's them down at times so they need to just take an extra step and compose themselves before kicking or hand balling. I'm still not convinced Putt is a league player and Vanirsen should be given more time to develop in the two's.

To compete with the better sides, we're going to need the Matera's, Marsh, Braut and Atkinson back on the park soon because we're not in great form and the lesser players aren't quite at the level yet.

Yes, Subi did lose the Ball Disposal count by a large margin. Subiaco also having 2 less scoring shots and still managed the Win. That is the sign of a good team. Just shows a team doesn't need the majority of the ball possessions to get the 4 points. In the 4 matches Subi have won (at the time of writing) they have had 47.9% of the ball disposals in rd 4. In the round 5 win, having 49%, In round 8 being 48% and rd 9 of 47% of the ball usage. If they can overcome Swan Districts next week, the only thing stopping them jumping into the top 4 on the league ladder is their percentage. Although no easy task at Bassendean next week
as Swans are no easy pushovers.

Yes,  Rotham was impressive. Bit of a puzzle for the Eagles there. Looks like he might give more in another position. Foley also a puzzle. Good but perhaps not good enough to be more than average in the afl. By average I mean average, not poor.
went to the Eagles game. At one stage at the bounce,  we had Meningola, Greg Clark and  Sheed competing. Clarke is big enough to compete but  trying to play a role against fast,  skilful guys. . Clarke was on Guthrie and bickslas. Apologies for spelling. Half the time, he's just blocking space.
i ran into the subi boys at a (good) bar in northbridge later and spoke to a few of the boys.  Nice blokes. Funny night.
