Just read a really good story on this bloke in today's paper
Really looking forward to seeing how he goes in the big league this year. The best point he raised is that in hindsight he's glad he wasn't drafted as an 18yo because he wouldn't have succeeded.

Cheers Too, just had a look at it. As Dela stated, no doubt Greg will succeed at that level because he is the hardest worker he has ever seen

I don't agree with the "no doubt he'll succeed" call, I think there's doubt about every single player that gets drafted, even the number one draft picks. The thing that intrigues me about Clark is that why has a player of his height and weight who's a midfielder been ignored for so long? I haven't seen a lot of him not being a Subi supporter, what's his weakness, he must be quite slow? Not a great kick?
I know with Jye Bolton clubs have ignored him probably because he's slow and poor defensively, I still think he should have been given another opportunity but they're his weaknesses.

I think because he was moved to the mids when Horse left he stepped up and was far less prominent at hbf where he played previously

At WAFL level, he has few weaknesses, big, strong, skilled both sides, big defensive side as one of the leagues leading tacklers, kicks goals, not super fast but certainly not slow, good overhead, aggressive at the ball and the player, but as you say even that doesn't guarantee a seemless transition to the AFL. Like many a Claremont and opposition supporter I'm stumped as to why Bolton wasn't given a second chance. They said Priddis was way too slow for AFL but after 4 attempts at the draft he was picked up and went onto win a Brownlow and a runner up, too old too slow too bloody good.
