Congrats to Kitch for his second Outridge medal, just ahead of Greg Clark who would have been the favourite.

This year was the last night of the "Newton/Screaigh" courage award (and sorry, I forgot who won it!!!)  In future it will be known as the Mick "Magic" Bailey Award.  (a break from tradition but obviously a tribute to a modern -day revered volunteer)

It was a terrific night at the club to wrap up a successful season. It was compered by Jacob Lansby (is that how you spell it?) from Sport FM 91.3 who did a great job, Sport FM do a wonderful job of supporting the WAFL and I told him we loyal WAFL fans really appreciate it.

Delahunty still to decide regards next year. (Kitch said he'll work on him!!)
Hickmott boys both definitely staying.
Clark has had some contact from local AFL clubs but nothing definite so he's not getting his hopes up (such a balanced young man)
Aaron Heal still to decide re next year, as is Hayden Kennedy.
Rohan Powell very keen to play next year if no further head issues arise during pre-season.

Tremendous speeches by Beau, Nigel, etc. and particularly Kitch.
President Mark Lawrence again spoke well and seemed keen to continue despite his health challenges.

My sincere  thanks to BC, SS, JL and others on this site who post regularly during the season and that includes most (not all) supporters of other clubs too. I really enjoy the banter and information and will try to get off my arse and find the time to contribute more myself going forward into next season.......................which I'm looking forward to already!!

Hopefully Aaron Heal decides to go around again, thought he had a very good year after starting in the forward line showed he is a class defender and was 6th in the f&b. Same thought for Hayden Kennedy, one of those big game players.
Some good defenders coming thru tho in Mullane and Henderson. Also a mention for Chad Harris who was a terrific recruit for us.

Thanks Ocker. I’m from Screaigh stock but I think that old award in tribute to the two footballers tragically killed had little relevance to the modern day footballer and it seems a good idea to pay tribute to Mick Bailey
