A man of character

Didn’t see any of yesterday’s game but I don’t regard the result as a massive upset, as I said after round one we have a very good side, but have a serious dearth of key position players and that will hurt us against sides more than once this year.
And BC, who the hell ever slightly suggested Subi weren’t genuine premiership contenders?

I’ll put my hand up TOO. I’m a bloody pessimistic soul, but only when it comes to footy. Must be my experience of growing up a Subi supporter in the late 70’s

Quite a few on here and in the press reckoned we were on the slide ToOl. One game doesn't make a season but it does give some hope that we'll be thereabouts at the pointy end.

Pretty even comp this year BC, lots of clubs in the mix, South are going OK, but every games up for grabs.

And will always BC. Been following Subi through thick and thin and have loved success. The old man played for Subi reserves in the 60's and Uncle, Clyde Goddard was/is a Diehard.

Was a fantastic display by Subi against The Tigers last Saturday. Thank you livestream by The West. If it was the ANZAC day game everyone one of the Subi players would have received the medal.
I rate Lewis Putt very highly being a 20 year old but never seems to get a mention.

Lewis Putt would have to be related to former Subi ruckman in the 1980s Ian Putt?
He was a decent player for Subi but they had the likes of Laurie Keene & Phil Scott leading the ruck back then and then Shane Cocker & Graham Jones after they went to the WCE.

I was also assuming the same Beas, I would say confirmed by me seeing Ian at the game last Saturday
