How is it possible for Gary Buckenara, George Young, Greame Schultz, Richard Ambrose, and Rumble, to have failed to win one?

I hear what you say Ark, but same applies with the Sandover and Browmlow. How did Horse not win a Sandover???????

SS: it is true that, in 1980, we won our two games without GB, even so he was our best player by a wide margin. There are others too, such as Heatley, georgiades and Mick Lee

People accept anomalies with the Sandover because the umpires pick it, which, of course is not the case for the Outridge medal.

dg, yes it seems that way, mate; if so, they should explain it for mere mortals, such as myself, to understand it. For example, Warren Dean never won one either, even though he was our second best CHF -- the hardest position on the ground -- in history, playing in a premiership side.

Deano was unlucky Ark, fair bit of competition in 86, though in saying that if I was picking the side he would be one of the first picked along with Keene and Zanotti. Anyone know where Dean came in the Outridge in 86?

Warren Dean didnt get close in 1986. Came in about 16th in the club fairest and best.

I am astonished Warren Dean finished so low in your Medal count that year, kicking 63 goals from Centre Half Forward.
Saw a fair bit of Subi in 85/86 not only when they played SD as you were on Ch7 & Ch2 a lot in those seasons and he was superb.
He kicked a goal at Bassendean one day in that era from almost in front of the Billy Walker Stand which would be every bit of 70m out, it was a monstrous kick.
