Young Buddy is developing a bit of a pattern. Going from a poor game in ressies to a great game - Then does bugger all when given a chance in League and then dropped again.

It's frustrating for us as supporters as we all know how talented he is and what he's capable of doing. It must als be frustrating for him as a player.

If only he could get some consistant games under his belt - this could be the year we leave him in a forward pocket in league and give him a month to get in the groove ???

Yeah me and Ted Wishart did most of the voting today and we both came up with the same best player as did the coaches. He played a lot on the ball. As everyone knows, I think he will eventually find consistency but for now I'd leave him in the reserves and let him string two of those kind of games together. Like a lot of these young blokes the improvement comes over time. Speaking of which, I think Rhys Waters, with 20 league games under his belt as of today is ready to find that consistency. All his possessions were earned through bash and crash. It's just what we needed in the middle.

Agree LH - Buddy will get there but as he looks so good at times I suppose I'm selfish in wanting to see him get better consistancy sooner.

Agree with Waters - I rate him and I see they left him in ressies a bit longer than I thought they would but he performed well in the 2nds. There is no doubt he can become a regular performer for us over a number of years.

His attack on the ball and opposition players is just what we need as since the departure of the Cock it has been left up to Bristle to be our on ball hard man and the load needs to be shared. Waters is still young and will get better with another 20-40 games under his belt having the potential to be a top noch mid in the comp.

Funny you should mention Adam Cockie actually because the way Rhys was attacking the ball reminded me of Adam's no prisoners style of midfield play.

Yep we've missed Cokie's style of play big time - Is there a chance he'll come back or you think the Melbourne lifestyle has caught on although after this season you'd think if he doesn't get an AuFL gig he never will ???

From what I understand he's enjoying footy over there but we could always offer him some money to try at least to get him back. Couldn't hurt to try. 1 point player. I mean we are at our points limit, so we might only be able to add 1 point players if nobody leaves the club next year.
