Shame if you wanted to go and see the Colts and Ressies play their respective finals. Colts down at Freo, 9.30 start which is fair enough as Claremont finished top and have all three grades in finals, but our ressies are up at South Gero to play East Perth at pharking 11.00, so impossible to see both games as it's at least an hour to get from Freo to Joondy, plus the clubs officials and support staff need to be in 2 places at one time. Whats wrong with playing the Su v Ep ressies at Leederville at 2.00pm or there abouts. Home ground for both clubs and enough time for our staff and supporters get back from Freo. FMD it aint rocket science.

Does anyone know what the qualification rules for ressies are now our league team is out? There must be a minimum number of games played through the season to qualify.

Normally it's a minimum of 5 ressies games to qualify BC, but given the short 8 game season they may look at reducing it to 2 or 3 games?

Or was it 7 games for ressies given Peel pulled out?

We had similar last year or was it 2018 in the Finals where the Colts played at Freo at 9am in the morning and the Ressies at Joondalup at 11am on the same day. I didnt get to South Gero until half time.

How much better would it be for the colts game at Joondy to start later as the league lead up game! Su & EP can have a nice comfortable 2.00pm start at Leedo for the ressies which no one else is interested in.

Hey Subi fans I'm a bit of topic here.
Does any Subi fans have any thoughts .About the job Schofield has done as Port Adelaide midfield coach in 2020.
Port been on top all season and there midfield is burning. Absolutely amazing the last few games.

Yes gtr...it doesn't surprise me one little bit. Schofield was an outstanding coach at Subi and reckon he'll be a senior coach at AFL level before much longer after serving an apprenticeship under Hinkley.

gtr good post mate, but I won't answer it directly as I don't watch much AFL

Some factors:

he has always been highly regarded at both clubs
no one can take away his flag against EPA
relative lack of injuries on he PA list

AFL premiership player, 3 time WAFL premiership player and 3 time WAFL premiership coach. Subi would have provided the closest thing to an AFL environment you could get with facilities, support staff and professionalism, so would not have been a big jump going back to Port where he was already well respected. His focus & preparation has always been thorough and fastidious to the point of anal!! If he stays at Port next year he will have a bigger role given the AFL football departments will be reduced along with player lists.
His biggest achievement was in his second season as coach, the 2014 WAFL flag against raging favourites East Eagles. The 2 losses to Freo cut deep and that's why he delayed going to AFL for that one extra season in which he oversaw the perfect season.
