Yes mate but he didn't finish the last quarter and had ice on his knee. Hopefully precautionary but a worry nonetheless.

A good win which was in doubt until we broke away in the last. Our foot and hand skills were atrocious at times and turnovers just about killed us. Sokol had a day to forget, Rhys Waters, Clinch, Powell and even Newton to some extent all quiet. The usual midfield of Horse, Kitch, Maxy, Dela and special mention to young Liam Hickmott with 24 touches. Greg Clark was terrific with 23 disposals including 7 inside 50s and also Gus Litherland coming back from a lacerated kidney was outstanding. To me it seems our hand and foot skills have dropped off from last year...maybe it was the Sharks pressure but we're thereabouts heading into a big game next week. East Freo were very good for most of the game and supporters should be optimistic about next year from what I saw today. They're definitely on the improve. It's all down to next Saturday but we can only control our game. Beat WP and it's finals...lose and we need Souths to do the business over Perth. Bring it on.

While disappointing there was nothing today, last week Peel v Souths was live-streamed

Rhys Waters has been in some ordinary form

Well what a strange game, 3 of the worst qtrs of Subi footy in recent memory followed by one of the best qtrs!! We stumbled and fumbled and missed targets consistently, some certainly due to good pressure by EF, but we handed them so many opportunities in the first 3 qtrs, they should have been 6 goals in front at 3/4 time, but in fact the only qtr they won was the first. For me the turning point was Soks goal at 3/4 time, after playing a shocker for 3 qtrs, he seemed to find some form and confidence, kicked another and gave off a couple in the last. Liam Kickmont is a rippa, 24 dispodals and 8 tackles, doing a great job in the mids, the usual suspects in Horse, Dela and Kitch carried the team, Gus warmed to the task after a slow start was great in the second half, Breman was a bit quiet but showed some flashes of quality. We actually won the tap outs quite easily, a rare thing but EF beat us easily in the centre clearances till 3/4 time, but that all changed in the last.

Not sure what distracted EF to fall away so badly, maybe the way Bill reacted to some comments by an idiot Subi bloke at their huddle distracted his players, he really went over the top rather than ignoring the bloke and letting his clubs officials deal with it. No way do i condone what this Subi bloke did but Bill needs to show some maturity and leadership in those sorts of situations, lead by example.

Yes...that 3/4 time incident was a weird one. I could hear Bill swearing at the bloke from up in the grandstand so not sure what he said to Bill to kick it off. It certainly distracted him and the EF players and for mine the bloke should pull his head in and Bill needs to be better than that.

Yeah he went right off didn't he, whatever the idiot said it really pissed him off. Borchet would be very handy next week, hopefully he is good to go. Marsh can't be far away either

Considering Monaghan is a teacher by profession, as well as a WAFL coach for over a decade, plus played 200 games of footy....really disappointing reaction and behaviour TBH...more so when the team needed some composure and a level head going into that last quarter 1 pt down....won't be the first nor last time some one gets a bit of unnecessary verbal aggro directed at them....Perhaps it was STT in a Subi shirt giving Bill a bit of Leggett what for...
