Given what I've seen so far and our extensive injury list I reckon we'll be comfortably beaten this week. Souths will be hungry for redemption after last year's GF and have performed very well in the first 3 games. We'll take it up to them I have no doubt but won't be able to maintain the pressure. Their big forwards, tight backline and very good mids should see them over the line by about 4 goals. I hope I'm wrong but somehow I don't think so.

Who is out for you BC?

I'm not going up there with any expectations.

We need to kick a lot more goals to make us a real chance.

On form this year your right BC, so I hope we see some youngsters included with a view to a full '21 season.

Just looked at the WAFL injury list which hasnt been updated since season started? We have Braut, Lockyer, Borchet and now Harry Marsh missing from our best 22 at this stage. Still hopeful the team can rise to the challenge that the unbeaten Souths will present and win this game.

If it’s anything like the last couple of weeks they’ll have to lock the gates at half time to keep everyone in.

Yep...as well as Rowan Powell and possibly Max Walters as he missed last week and is no certainty either Jjim. That's probably being disingenuous to Souths as it's not who's missing from Subi that'll see us struggle, it's more the terrific form Souths are in at the moment.

Max will be out for a few more weeks, not sure the injury but it ain't general soreness. Key forwards a couple of quality mids and key backmen out so 9 or 10 quality players missing from last years GF team. Should be a hard fought quality game by two quality teams, form says Souths, they have tall key forwards, a lot of quality running through the mids and solid defence, they also have arguably the best ruckman in the comp.

Yes Subi had 9 players out who played in last years GF that didnt play last week but 3 of those Wheeler, Joyce & Moore have either retired or are not at the club this year whilst Edwards-Baldwin played Reserves so it is a little bit misleading, gee Swans were missing 21 of our last Premiership team also. :silly:
Granted the actual injured 5 Lockyer, Borchet, Braut, Walters & Powell are good WAFL players but it has opened up an opportunity for those who have been there a while without cracking a regular League game in Fullgrabbe, Lawrence, Doyle, Hickmott, Fimmano, Matera, Beverley, Atkinson, Martin etc a chance to show their wares.

Was quite impressed with Doyle and Martin, also Fimmano was very good. Who played well in last weeks reserves. Seen a bit of the younger Borchet, looks the goods. How about giving the guy from Dampier a go?

Oobi, Upton would be an ideal inclusion against an experienced and hardened SF team, we will need plenty of grunt in the midfield and Upton has plenty of that. Should be a great midfield tussle with Souths mids lead by Schloithe, Dragovich, Florenca and Suban and us with Horse, Kitchen, Newton & Clark also looking forward to Dela v Higgins, Higgins not as tall as the 2 rucks Dela has come against so far but a very strong body and mobile for his size, Higgins will win the taps but Dela should have his measure around the ground. Will be interesting to see if young Doyle gets another run, to give Dela a chop out occasionally.
