There was a two page spread pages 2 and 3 on Thursday. It said that if you want the full story on four stories you need to subscribe. They were Claremont serial killer, father joe, Karl ocallahhan and top 50 afl players. I’m not joking you, the paper was actually saying you will not be able to read the full story in here. The board or management would be making the decisions in regard to.
However does the government now have questions to answer? After all many people raised serious concerns when said paper was sold. And now look at the bloody mess it's in!
Yet the government tried telling everyone that there were no concerns of said sale.
Now we have a newspaper in serious decline and a shadow of it's former self.

I think the ACCC should be looking into the actions of these news mastheads methods and tactics at trying to force subscription. This is what you get when you allow monopolies to be created. Look at the West app and all other news is updated but WAFL news remains a week old while there are fresh stories from the weekend on the subscribed editions. Shame on you Kerry Stokes and your cohorts.

No point having an issue about it when the horse has bolted, the monopolies didn't pop up last week. They have been evolving and emerging for an extended period, continuing on with the horse analogy - no point getting on your high horse now your just realizing the impact.

Supply and demand DD. I think its fair enough for them to charge for a service if they aren't making enough money off online advertising. I actually went and bought the West yesterday because I wanted to read a couple of articles. They are charging too much for me but they may change their price. I reckon $10 a month would see me have a subscription
