Although I'm a cosnervative voter, I do not agree with the possible appointment of JH as a future GG.

There is just to much perceived bias.

I would of thought someone non politcal needs the job someone like Peter Cosgrove.

JH is still seen as unpopular by some of the electorate, even after all this time he's been out of politics. Not sure who would be a good choice but someone neutral and non political would be best I think.

What there is no election to appoint the GG? Not even Parliament chooses the GG; surely it can't just be left up to the PM?

Now what were the complaints about the appointment of a President if Australia had become a Republic?
