just noticed that Sydney hoisted the flag at half mast after NO NSW players picked in the side.
Cant see Langer lasting with half the team his mates. All we need now is NO NSW commentators talking about how good they were...
Get some eggs to suck you whingers.

Can't see them lasting either, in particular when they keep losing.

England are far superior to us in ODI's at the moment. I would expect them to win this series 5-0.

come the WC, Starc, Hazlewood and Cummins will be in the squad.....so that's three NSW boys for you Leatherstops…..so not all doom and gloom for the NSW cohorts just yet......do need to find a way to get Alex Carey in the team.....as much as Paine is captain, a good guy and a decent keeper....he adds nothing to the batting line up in the short format...…just don't see the point of playing him.....

have Fatty Finch as skipper.....Short needs to be backed in and hopefully he will score as he did in the T20 format.....perhaps S Marsh can play that role Root or Morgan plays for England....Eng surround these boys with flyers in Bairstow, Roy and Buttler…..Aust could easily do the same with Finch, Maxwell and Carey.....

Considering Ali can take wickets with his part time bullshit, bit worried Agar can't do the same.....though has been batting well and is an A grade fielder.....really need a Kahn like leggie......goes for a few but takes wickets.....

Good to see Jhye getting a go....way better bet than Kane......and Billy adds that X factor I guess with his pure speed and height......not all doom and gloom yet......but yeah losing 5-0 here is probably where Aust sit right now v Eng...

England certainly look superior right now and should win the series comfortably 9perhaps even 5 zip, that said (and forgetting Smith and co) the Australian squad would be much stronger with the additions of Chris Lynn, Mitchell Starc, Mitch Marsh, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazelwood.

As long as Hilton Carthorse doesn't have a CA contract, agree with others about Tim Paine in the shorter forms of the game. Amazed to see that he batted at 5 in the first ODI and Maxwell behind him at 6 and Agar at 7 even. Highly competent keeper, but for mine not a regular top 7 bat in this form of the game which makes it pretty hard to justify a spot. Especially when you have someone like Carey waiting in the wings.

The current line up is far from Australia's best 11 (again even without Smith and co), there could realistically be 5-6 changes easily just on injuries at the moment.

Marsh was brilliant in 2nd game as was Maxwell in the 1st game. Agar battered well in both.
No bowler worth a mention for Australia
Last time an Australian international cricket team (Test, ODI or 20/20) failed to field a NSW player was 1972

Interesting stat that, in particular in relation to the ODI's and none from NSW since 1972, they have only been played since 71 and I think that was part of a rained out test match. This means that no ODI in effect has ever been played without anyone from NSW, would have liked a piece of those odds.

Marsh will play in the World Cup and bat 3 unless he gets injured again, Hopefully they give Short an extended run and find a way of getting Carey in the team.
