Yep overboard is the word, one thing having some banter on issues, but a one sided free add 12 post blitz about issues Curtin House promote for the ALP on a open sports blog site is not on.

I think it was a reasonable decision by the Admin. The political topics were starting to drown out the sport ones on the recent topics section and ultimately this is a footy blog. Fair enough have some banter about the upcoming election and federal politics in general but I am not really interested in what is going on at Sky News to be honest. As long as this ruling is applied consistently to every political persuasion I haven't got a problem with it.

I for one come onto the OZFOOTY chat forum to read and chat about WA FOOTY (sport in general) especially of the WAFL variety as it is one of the few outlets that we can all still chat about grassroots FOOTY as the media rarely do so over here.
This site was getting completely overloaded with political nonsense whenever you would log on and to those like myself and others who have little to no interest in politics it was like being bombarded by religious doorknockers constantly every day.
There was already a dedicated WA Election topic that all of the political chat should have been kept to for all of those few who are passionate about politics and their relevant parties but for the political 'atheists' it was just flat out site spam.

I heard he was still camped up a tree at Beeliar with his signed photo of Bob Hawke and rubber accoutrement with Hillary Clinton's face taped on and won't come down until the result is known. mind you...if sneakers backtracks on Roe 8 I wonder if 42 will be back up the tree again?
