Fair dinkum apart from helping deliver the ALP government on a platter in a couple of years time I cannot see the point.

The bloke is hardly the most popular pollie around and if he thinks a one man show from SA can over run One Nation as the big third option for voters he is kidding himself.

If he thinks he is Australia's on version of Trump then he needs to get into a room of mirrors and have a long hard look at himself.

He may have a similar mindset as Trump but lacks his controversial nature. Will fade away into oblivion.

His wife has a sense of humour. Apparently she was quoted as saying " my marriage to Cory is perfect because we are both in love with the same man"

Bernardi is your classic catholic homophobic bigot who is so out of touch with the general public it defies logic. His idea to set up his own right wing Nazi dictatorship is laughable, he will have a membership of 1.

They said he has 5 more years on the Senate ticket.The Gentleman thing to do was to stand for his new party at the next election.And see out this term

No hope, the bloke is just not a retail politician, everything he has he owes to the Libs, they get him his senate seat in SA, he only scores 2000 personal below the line votes, and 50,000 lib votes as a party. Apart from that hes a rat.

You must be a complete moron if you are seriously comparing Bernardi to the Nazis either that or have absolutely no idea at all at what the Nazis did or how they operated , if anything its a complete insult to any survivor of the Holocaust and you need to pull your head in.

Sorry if anyone took offence, but I wasn't comparing him to Hitlers WW2 Nazi's. Nazi is a term used regularly in modern day language to describe individuals or groups who take a position that has no discernable moral or ethical integrity along with a violent, discriminatory and bigoted view of certain ethnic and minority groups, maybe neo-fascist would be a more appropriate term that could be applied to the good senator.
