Mario Milano has just passed away. So what say some of you - wth is that? Mario was Mr Clean of the wrestling world. I remember going to Perry Lakes for the WWF fight night at the age of about 8 or 10. So many memories of Mario, the gentleman of that sport. RIP Mario.

Those were the days! I used to go with my Dad to Perry Lakes and I loved the classic battles between the Italian Stallion Mario Milano vs Brute Barnard as well as the follow up tag team battles.

We used to go to Perry lakes stadium to watch the wrestlers, that's where I met King Curtis and Waldo Von Eric. My brother worked at the Orbit Inn and when the wrestlers would fly in on the old 707 the first port of call was the bar. All big bad johns army and the peoples army would be at the bar for hours drinking , thinking up new strategies to entertain the fans. They were enemies in the ring but at the bar they were all pi55 head mates. I was only a teenager when I met Mark Lewin and Karl Cox at the Orbit Inn. The WWE was born at Festival Hall and Perry Lakes.
