Have any ozfooty folk noticed already as I suspected would be the first change to occur, Perth Now website you can no longer post comments on a story which was a very popular feature of Perth Now.

And when you click on contact us at the bottom of the page it takes you to The West Australian contact links.

Thank you to the totally useless waste of money the competition watch dog is. No choice in WA anymore unless someone comes along and brings in a new news site and fresh competition. Then Kerry will probably get the cheque book out and buy that one as well.

WA Today is still going and is not Channel Eagle.

Give it about 5 yrs and the Sunday Times will be gone, there will be one printed Weekend Paper in WA.

WA Today is part of Fairfax I think and farrk all WAFL news.

Perhaps more good things happen on the East Coast.

I'm still unclear how that takeover gained permission from the A triple C?
The independent WA Today website previously mentioned is part of Fairfax. But their Wafl coverage is poor.

You can comment on the Perth Now facebook stories which have far more comments than the website ever did anyway and you can also use twitter. I think the main reason why a lot of web comments are fading is because most of the traffic has moved to facebook.

Ahh good old Facebook who wants everyone to know their full identity on public display? What's wrong with being anonymous when making a comment?

And being a monopoly, WA is now a one paper town.
Which is not ideal.
The Worst is not the best example and cannot see the landscape improving. Sad to say.

At least The Sunday Times is no longer owned by Rupert Murdoch. Havent bought the paper in a long time due to him owning it.

Bugger off Grassy, you went to one of the pooshest schools in Perth with all the right wing upper class toffs in town, don't come this I learnt never to be biased crap at a joint like that, those bigoted moneyed up joints thrive on it. Scotch was founded by the very same Presbyterian over lords that kept their thumps firmly the heads on what they saw as the miserable Irish peasants while they ripped off their land kept them in poverty and persecuted them day in and day out so they could occupy their country...how's that for bias.
