Is this the first real act of terrorism on our shores along the lines of what we have seen in Europe and other parts of the Western world? Targeting freedom, targeting innocent people is the new mantra of this gutless filth.

I know there was the Manmonus Lindt Cafe seige and the young guy who shot and killed an innocent police department employee but this to me has all the hallmarks of what we have seen in Paris. A French national, I'm betting he is black. Not politically correct to say that? Stiff shit.

Looks like this guy has come in under the guise as a backpacker. There is no limits to how low this filth will go. Given the outbreak of terrorism in Paris and other European countries perhaps the immigration department might take hold of the reigns and screen people more stringently?

Not sure what the French are on about concerning the form of dress to be honest; it is true that France is supposed to be secular republic, all clerical symbols being frowned upon, but how far are they going to take matters. I would have thought on the grounds of consistency, if the French government was so determined to maintain France's way of life, it would start by closing down the Mosques.

The beach dress laws are a local government regulation.

The local council has the power to set dress standards on town beaches.

To be "secular" in this strict French sense would have to mean closing down all places of worship from Mosques and catholic cathedrals to salvos halls, Hare Krishna & Buddhist temples, even those loony spaceman worshipping Scientologists.

It's not rocket science and banning burkinis wont do anything it's just window dressing (or undressing), it's got to happen at the borders with strict screening of all who seek to come to this country with the attitude of erring on the side of caution in every instance.

Also the mega wealthy Arab countries like the Saudi's and the UAE have to take some responsibility for resettling these so called refugees as they are of similar ethnicity and religion, will fit in with that countries customs and laws and are the closest nations with economies capable of dealing with things like the Syrian exodus, but they continue to sit on their hands.

Bob KATTER has come out and stated he wants a urgent review of Australian migrant and refugee intake policy , with an immediate suspension Muslim and Sudanese and Somalian migrants , until it can be determined that the current policy is worth continuing.
