So it is finally over. The Liberal Party's transport promises are just a littany of lies. Finally it is now official: the PROMISED MAX transport policy has been dumped. Their collective contempt and in particular Emperor Barnett's complete disdain for West Australians should ensure finally and unequivocally they should be dumped from office at next year's state election.

Swan the relationship between WA LNP and Canberra Lnp has never been great.Surley they delay this announcement to be after the Federal Poll?? Cant believe the timing of the policy backdown.

GTR firstly their credibility is completely gone. One does not need to be a marketing to advertising genius to know that the ALP will show ad after ad of the promises that Emperor Barnett made regarding the Ellebrook rail/bus/rail/bus line; MAX transport etc etc.

Secondly, J Bishop and M Cormann et al have shown that they couldn't give two hoots about WA and this will continue until the ALP have the majority of WA House of Rep seats.

Unfortunately the government will probably dump Barney before the next election and try and woo voters with a female leader. I want to see Barney face the electorate and the scrutiny right up to election day and make him answer to the people of WA day in day out during the election campaign why he's fucked up the balance sheet. He's going to need to come up with more than the GST carve up argument.

And I want to see his speech when he finally has to concede after the people of Western Australia have had their chance to have their say instead of these of the pre arranged media conferences organised by his media manager Dixie Marshall where he so often ends with "really people (of WA) are petty and need to grow up".

Grassy if it does come to it you will be most welcome at Basso. I would find it inconceivable that the Perth Board could take a decision that would spell the end of the football club. I personally know a Perth and Eagles' supporter who will no longer support Perth if they get into bed with the Eagles.
