Surprise, surprise the Chamber of Commerce and Industry like the WA Budget handed down today. Their endorsement so simply and elegantly shows how bad the WA Budget is for ordinary West Australians. When did the CCI support a pay rise for the lowest paid employees? When did the CCI last oppose or comment against pay increases to CEOs and upper management? The answer to both question is never or not in living memory.

Interesting that Emperor Barnett has said that government workers will not get a pay rise greater than CPI yet he has increased:

residential electricity prices by 3.5 %;
water charges up by 4.5 %;
2.5 % increases (rounded to the nearest 10 cents) for public transport NOTWITHSTANDING when the Carbon Tax was axed THERE WAS NO DECREASE in the Zone 1 charges;
2.5 % increase in third party insurance;
4.2 % in the Emergency Services levy.

See below the links from the WA Budget:

By the way from a spokesmen from the RAC the commitment to the Ellenbrook bus system is lower than previously committed.

If you cant raise 3 dollars a week for state increases wait till you get your rates bill from your socialist councils, if you own a property.

Of course if you cant afford WA you can always move out.

Send me your address and I'll deliver some packing boxes.

Yep and good riddance to one of the worst Premiers this state has had, singlehandedly putting the state into the irretrievable mire during and after the greatest mining boom we will ever see again! Farking disgrace really, and the rank and file will be no better off no matter how the libs try and spin their bullshit. And listening to the yankee speaking treasurer makes it sound like even more of a cartoon train wreck

Swandog,

No, I’m just an Aussie battler and definitely not classy enough to be a silver spooner but thanks for the compliment.
Just believe you take the odds on and work for your money, not bludging off other people by expecting handouts.

Anyway, back to the budget, so let’s revisit high school economics.
1- You borrow when interest rates are low.
2- You borrow when the Oz dollar is low.
3- If you are a clever conservative government you go into worthwhile debt to stop the socialists pissing it up against the wall.

Remember that crudd and juliar blew 660 billion and nothing to show!
