It get's worse......... Former Speaker Bronwyn Bishop would retire on a taxpayer-funded salary of $255,000 per year plus 10 free domestic return flights a year if she were to take the Prime Minister's hint and quit Parliament at the next election.
Thanks but NO thanks. I don't want my taxes spent that way.
After all, old hockey said 'the age of entitlements' is over for all Australians. Is the words he used. I note he's been strangely quiet the last several weeks, not sure if anyone else has noticed?

Cardy Cardy Cardy at least you didn't mention Andrew Bolt as well. Alan Jones has on many occasions quoted figures and he does it with a great deal of aplomb. The unfortunate thing is that not all the figures he quotes are correct.

No amount of obfuscation is going to obscure the fact that B Bishop had to resign because her performance as Speaker was so appalling. She acted as a cheerleader of the Coalition Government; the antithesis of how a speaker should perform. That is why she was forced to resign.

Swanny, were you out of the country when the helicopter story broke? Followed by the trip to Paris? That was what brought BB down.

at least she had the dignity to go, appears Burke who flew his entire Family business class to Ayres Rock at tax payer expense will not, stuff the working class, were going business class.lol..

Just heard Burkes pathetic excuse for flying his entire family at our expense BUSINESS CLASS for a holiday to Ayres Rock, the bloke is nothing but a hypocritical wanker and RORTER who should stand down from the front bench immediatly.

Total disgrace to think he can just charge that extravagence up to the aussie worker.

LS The ALP used the "Choppergate" to force her to resign. It was a means to an end. She was forced out because of her blatantly and disgracefully biased performance as Speaker.
