I must have missed all the criticism of B Bishop's performance from my fellow Oz Footy posters. Where has been the outrage following the revelations of Choppergate? Where has been the outrage regarding her blatant partisan behaviour as speaker of the House of Representatives? Where is the vitriol over her behaviour compared to that expressed concerning Peter Slipper?

The exquisite irony which has forced B Bishop to resign is that if she hadn't been so blatently biased when she was in the Speaker's Chair she may have been able to apologise and remain as Speaker. One can only hope that the Liberal Party will realise the immense damage she has caused the Australian Parliament whilst she was Speaker. The other person who has been severely damaged from this fiasco is T Abbott. He was incapable of accepting that B Bishop's position was untenable from the very beginning and his refusal to state that she had lost the confidence of the Australian people and should tender her rsignation reflects so badly on his leadership.

I will try and be as politically correct as possible here.. good riddance to that stuck up useless old bitch I say!

I will - that contemptuous old dame moll is Mutton dressed as Hogget she couldn't care less about her constituentcy all she cares about is her pay packet & what she can leech on top of that

That's better Southerner; one shouldn't equivocate when it comes to commenting on the most blatantly biased speaker in living memory. She has most assuredly got her just dessert.

We pay so much tax in this country.Everything we buy,every hour we work.Now there trying to have a crack at our super,already taken our pension away.
Sure we need to well resource our health,education,social security +service industrys.That will come at a price,most of us accept that.But for a privileged career polotitions to totally rip off the system is wrong . helicopter trips chartered flights,what did the staffer say ( it was a propeller
plane not jet) what does it matter it was not government business.Hope they go through the lot of them (all partys).They have no problems selling there citizens out to Chinese FTA's.

yep...she had to go...based on Peter Slipper being turfed out for similar then Bronny was on borrowed time as well... it s agood opportunity for both sides of politics to sort out expenses entitlements and come up with something that is fair and reasonable.

And the comments of old barnaby joyce need seriously looking at too!! Captain abbot was happy to sit back and support her. Why was that? Is he happy seeing them all with their snouts in the trough sponging off the taxpayers. The next Budget session will come around and guess what!! They'll say the budget is now short of money and services can now be trimmed, will be the excuse. Taxes and charges will rise yet again, giving them more money to waste.
