I got a call today asking if I would participate in a short survey.

The first question asked was - what sporting code do I follow, Rugby Union, League or AFL.

I advised the caller that AFL is not a code rather it is only a league that plays Australia Rules Football. He was taken back.

This is one of my pet hates hearing Aussie rules being referred to as "AFL" and more should be done to correct this. The media is probably the worst contributor and we know how powerful they are.

Anyway that's my two bobs worth, for what it is worth.

Yeah spot on. It's like a cricket fan being asked 'Do you follow Cricket Australia?'
