Great to see our Police effective in nabbing a mum who disciplined her son ( who stole an apple) by slapping. We need these HARDENED Criminals behind bars. Bugger catching the drug runners. These mums & dads are easier to catch & more dangerous to the public

need to know a bit more about it, she might of gone overboard, but if it was reasonable chastisement , she will have a defence.

Appears the 6yo daughter misled the 4yo son into taking a bite of the apple. Evil parent then punishes the boy and rightly so. History suggests its the job of woman kind to bite in to the forbidden apple and condemn mankind to eternal misery. Mum should get off on religious grounds....

slapping a toddlers face twice is a bit over the top for mine. i don't mind her being prosecuted for it as long as the punishment fits the crime. i.e. a spent conviction and compulsory attendance at better parenting classes or whatever. the end result is that the whole issue has been in the public spotlight and talked about which is good as i've seen some parents doing stuff to kids as punishment which was pretty ordinary.

I've got no issue with parents smacking a child, but slapping them in the face is unacceptable IMO.

Totally agree yolo. Smack them yes, but NO clenched fists and stay away from the head.

I'd love to hear the facts, was she abusive or was she simply dispensing a bit of discipline a naughty child? I used to smack my children, albeit never in the head area nor enough to leave a mark. Are we getting too precious? Take a look at what lack of disciple is creating out on the streets.

I wonder IF all women of any backround would have been arrested, had they done the same?

Seems quite obvious that Ben Cousins wasn't smacked although he could have been on it.
