Disappointing to see the Stone Bros sever ties with Ford. It's no secret that Ford haven't been as supportive financially of some of their long standing, loyal teams. No doubt MB have offered the Stones an arrangement that a multiple championship winning team is worthy of. How many championships have FPR won with full factory backing? While DJR and SBR have to beg for the scraps off the table! These two teams have tasted sucess and have not been looked after accordingly.

Apparently there is no official backing from MB for Stone Brothers. I believe AMG will be working with them but it will be far from a factory backed team.

Volvo is set to join the V8 super-cars.
The Swedish carmaker is expected to make the announcement on the 17th June.
It will launch it's S60 Polestar, capable of 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds from what I hear. Volvo Car Australia managing director Matt Braid is undertaking final negotiations this week to sign a deal.
Obviously being allowed in because Ford is now gone!

Lost interest years ago... I had always hoped that they'd bring back the old formula in what was for sale on the showroom floor is the same as what is raced. Ie GTR's, XU-1's, GTS, GT, Cooper S, EH S4 Holden's etc.

With Ford gone, this may be unlikely. WAY too much money in this category.
