So.....let me get this straight
Last week when the mask rules were tougher, we had to mask up going into the ground and any indoor areas, masks were not mandatory in outdoor areas like the grandstands and the outer.
This week we have to wear a mask at all times when we are at the WAFL game, indoors or outdoors and yet we have been told that the mask requirements have been "relaxed"

That is just a complete nonsense.

Correct Mike. It's policy on the run and they make it up as they go along. It is blatantly obvious to me that there is no set plan which kicks in when certain things happen. A decision tree if you like that sets out what restrictions will come into force when certain events occur. The apologists on here and elsewhere will argue that things change rapidly and they're learning every day but imo there needs to be a set plan which gets tweaked as required not just some arbitrary decision making exercise at the whim of a narcissistic megalomaniac.

It is absolutely laughable Mike, especially when you see how their hodge podge rules apply at WAFL level.
Last week also the players were forced to wear masks during the warm ups can you believe (isnt that considered strenuous exercise to the Emperor McGowan & his new clothes Cook?) but this week they only have to wear them coming into the ground and leaving!

In fairness, this exact situation is going on in many other parts of the world.

Politicians are repeating the same narrative almost word for word in so many countries.

But people are starting to say " hang on...something isn't adding up here anymore".

A two week experiment that has dragged into 15 months.....but of course it's just for another "2 weeks" so they say. Sadly, this ain't over......
LaH this is not directed at you specifically.  It seemed to me to be an appropriate place to provide a link to the Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 website.  It will allow any poster who is interested to get a feel of the enormity of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide.

Policy on the run is a great term it sorta says it all and sums up what happens in most natural disasters especially when it is bigger than what was expected, it has gone on for longer than expected and has consequences that no one really understands yet. That is why there royal commissions into the fires almost as frequently as we have fires!

Yep the Premier is rolling out the same old strategy and is now starting to modify it to suit what we now know thanks to a lot of experimenting along the way. It is easy to be 'critical of those in control when you don't agree with the process through a degree of ignorance (of the issues). It is easy to be like Millerman and throw stones at the 'experts' being used by the policy makers but perhaps he is just trying to out do The Cotton man and score points. Yep the NSW process has worked since the debacles that besot them early in the process, early being upto 3 months ago and now not being able to truly identify the source of the current infections.

To mask or not to mask therein lies the question Horatio! To use a prophylactic or not to use one has been the downfall of many a bloke over the years but history has shown that they are effective, well perhaps not 100% but it gives you a fighting chance of not suffering an outcome you didn't or don't want!

One of the fundamental issues is that there had not been a natural disaster planning process for a number of years and having been part of them back in the early 2000's it is a process that looks at what to do when cyclones, bush fires, pandemics etc befall the state. I would suggest that from the Pimples in Canberra down to the local government folk really had no idea of what to do so policy and strategies on the run is how you attempt to manage.

We were allowed to go "maskless" today at Joondalup. Common sense prevailed. What about other grounds?
