Does anyone know what is actually happening with this?

It seems to have lost all momentum and there is a distinct lack of publicity.

I know there are elderly folks who are still waiting.

I also know there is a large vaccination center at the Show Grounds that is hardly being used.

The whole thing is a big mystery to me.  I haven’t seen or heard of any info on vaccinations in my area.  As said before, I’m not in a hurry to get it as yet, but surely there should be some sort of info being circulated locally?

It sure is, its almost like its hide and seek.

Because the government and doctors have been spooked by a few people getting blood clots after having the AstraZeneca vaccine particularly doctors would be worried about getting their arses sued and the govt is waiting for the arrival of new Pfizer orders.

I get that, but there is no discernable difference from the early date of the vaccine roll out and now, no one seems to know the system.

 

The issue is the EU withholding 3m vaccines put the schedule way behind. The govt has now brought forward vaccinations for 2A recipients i.e. 50yo and above to May using the AZ vaccine. Hopefully when local manufacture ramps up and the EU starts releasing shipments things will take off. Let's hope so anyway as the vaccination rate is very poor at the moment.

Additionally, GPs have been receiving 50 to 100 vaccine shots intermittently so it is not surprising that the take-up of the vaccine is so low thus far.

BC, there is a large Vax Center at the Show Grounds that is empty every day anyone can go up and get a jab..

most of the time they sit there with nothing to do.

What I cannot understand is why it its kept so secret.

Just announced State Gov will start a big vax publicity campaign, about time.
