So if i've heard this right and I'll stand corrected, just now on the TV news, that those who were subject to the apartment towers lockdown in Melbourne that caused the massive Vicco 2nd Covid wave have taken out a class action against the Government for multiple millions of dollars. I assume it's against the Vic state government. Sounds like the do-gooders have got into their ears and encouraged them to take action on the basis of "illegally held against their will" during the lockdown, so the VIC tax payers maybe looking at a massive payout if the case is successful, in a state thats already a financial basket case. The Vic government would be forced to go cap in hand to the Feds for financial help so I guess it will be all Australian tax payers who could be lining these peoples and especially the lawyers pockets. This could set a precedent for anyone who was in any lockdown in any state for any reason to sue the relevant government. FMD what is the world coming to. I would have thought the Vic Govt would have declared a state of emergency which would allow them legally to do the lockdown.
