Ah, you mean secession?
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Will never happen as apart from requiring WA to vote a min 2/3 in favour which is the easy bit, we need to carry 3 other states with us which ain't going to happen ever!! We produce too much money just from the mining sector which props up the rust belt eastern states, NSW & Vic in particular.

Why would you bother asking the other States about leaving - The Australian Constitution becomes irrelevant once you declare unilaterally you are leaving, if a majority wanted it here that's what would happen. Maybe Canberra would organise an invasion to hold us by force but I doubt it.

No Baz what i described is the only way to secession.
When WA tried early last century the state voted massively to do it but no other states supported it. The constitution requires 4 of the 6 states to vote in favour. It didn't happen the first time, it wont happen ever. WA is the cash cow for Australia so they wont ever let us leave until the mining industry runs dry.

The way to get more of our rightful slice of the royalties and GST is to put the Feds, whoever they are, on notice that if you dont do that, you will be decimated at the ballot box. I dont ever see the situation where either party will get landslide victories in the foreseeable future Federally so WA can influence the outcomes of elections.

If China dont want our Barley, Wine or Coal then soon they will not want our Iron Ore. They are the key, not the Libs

No hope of that - our high quality ore cannot be matched, and word is demand is pumping through up there again, paying double shipping rates from Brazil for an inferior ore wont happen.

We aware of what happened in 33.

It was never put to the vote in the other states, the reason it died was the movement here lost the heart to push it further. Mainly as the State Labor Party were elected who were strongly Anti Secessionists, once the Commonwealth increased the Grants the movement faded away.
