I have been reading some quite disturbing reports abt issues that are showing in folk who have had the virus and they are not a little bit scary but a lot scary.

It seems that the scaring to the lungs, described as the ground glass effect, I tried to understand the consequences but it seems that the long term effect could be that these folk will suffer issues later in life as a direct result.

The other effect is that it attacks the brain causing strokes, memory loss and other stuff. The long term effects of this are yet to be fully understood.

We are going to have issues that may not be immediate and will further impact on our health system so everything we do now really has a greater importance.
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

Interesting Grump.Probably one of the reasons .The best minds can't find a cure.
We all know the pandemic is far worse than reported.China as an example of that. All we can do is keep our state shutdown. For the moment and stop the spread.

So while WA pats itself on the back for slowly winning the fight against the disease, a plane arrives from Dubai with 6 known cases. They’re trying to track down others on the flight, so how many more out there have it? FFS, are they not isolating people coming in from overseas anymore?

The state governments own advice is:- Self-isolation means you must stay in your home, hotel room, or other accommodation even if you are perfectly well with no symptoms. If you live in a unit or apartment block you must stay in your unit or apartment. You cannot attend public places such as work, school, shopping centres or go on a holiday. Only people who usually live with you should be in the home. Do not see visitors. You must stay in your place of isolation and NOT GO OUT. You are only permitted to leave your home for a medical emergency or if there is a risk to your immediate safety. If you become unwell with symptoms of COVID-19 such as a cough, sore throat or fever whilst in self-quarantine you must immediately seek medical advice.

For overseas travellers is basically the same whereas, person/s arriving into Western Australia from overseas, will be directed to mandatory self-quarantine in accommodation provided by the WA government, and given information on mandatory self-quarantine.

So when a plane lands in "Prictoria" it's their fault.
If it lands in WAnk Australia It's not the Gov's

Apparently the UK Government is allocating 8½ million pounds on researching the long term effects.
Many patients hospitalized for Covid-19 are experiencing unexpectedly high rates of blood clots, likely due to inflammatory responses to the infection. These can cause lung blockages, strokes, heart attacks, and other complications with serious, lasting effects.
Blood clots that form in or reach the brain can cause a stroke. Although strokes are more typically seen in older people, strokes are now being reported even in young Covid-19 patients.
