How could it have possibly taken this long to act? Their Health Minister Hazzard should be sacked for complete incompetence on this issue and the Ruby Princess.

Come to think of it a name like Hazzard wouldnt inspire much confidence in a Health Minister. Wonder if he was an Occupational Health and Safety rep in his last job?

Sounds like a Nightmare BC..

I'm getting the feeling that this might be falling apart a bit in other states.

What the go with Andrews and him going against the whole country with the school policy, ??

Not to mention having a Abattoir outbreak,,,

There has been 23 new confirmed cases in victoria over the past 3 days. Hope it's not the start of a second outbreak over there?

Yep but Gil and the PM will find a way to re-start sport like the AFL.
Talk about special treatment!

The 23 new cases could well spell the end of the AFL for this season given they cant bring themselves to base all teams in either WA or SA or split between both, these 2 states plus NT have handled this thing far and away the best, but we cant have the Vicco based princesses being asked to travel too much, it might give those johnny come lately SA & WA teams a perceived advantage and we cant have that!!

Settle down fella’s. Jeff said Gillon is putting in 25 hour days so it’s all under control.

And I did not factor in the 22 or 23 new victorian cases that occurred today. Forty five cases thus far for May. One can guess there will not be too much relaxation over there until things calm down.

This informative post by Senior is worth a read here:

Sneakers presser today announced that starting Monday week the 19th, new relaxations of restrictions, upping to max 20 in a gathering, bars and restaurant can open with seating up to 20 plus the 4m2 rule, intrastate boundaries reduced to 4 zones, wheatbelt, southwest will combine with the metro area, non contact sporting activities can resume. Then 4 weeks after that, public swimming pools and playgrounds will re-open, contact sporting activities can resume, so thats when full contact training can resume and games can be played, the missing link will be how many can attend if any. State hard border will stay in place for the foreseeable until the eastern states get their shit together and have long term low or no infections. So some light at the end of the tunnel as long as we dont get overconfident. Hospitals are now geared up to cope with up to 600 cases at any one time if a second wave occurs, so it's a case of living with the virus and managing it until a vacs comes along.

I am still hopeful that things will have relaxed sufficiently for me to fly back to Perth in mid-July, to celebrate my 21st birthday, and get a new visa from the Thai consulate.
