The Cats have brought a lot of players in from other clubs, especially this season. Does the jumper really mean a lot to them or did some of them just waltz in thinking guaranteed to be playing finals footy I'll just tag along for the ride. In the process cut some loyal Geelong players who started there and played an integral part in winning 3 flags, Stevie J, Stokes, Chapman and James Kelly.

It seems some clubs are not willing to allow a natural decline and rebuild take place, instead they try to stay at the top of the mountain year in year out. Being a Freo supporter I can tell you I am not bothered about spending a year or two down the bottom but I think there is excitement brewing already about the young talent, the next generation coming through rather than recycled players from other clubs.

Geelong recruited Dangerfield, Smith & Smith. All Quality players. Not like some other clubs close to home.

That is beside the point. Danger I have no problem with because he's decided to go home. The others are just interlopers hoping for quick success. The topic questions why Geelong are premiership favourites one week but have lost to 3 bottom 8 sides. I am pointing to the fact you can bring in too many mature age players from other clubs who have come through different clubs and different systems. Maybe they aren't a tight knit unit?

Reminds me another club that tried a short cut to success. Epic fail

But this happened Again. And the lazy pussies cost me tip 6. :woohoo:

I was wondering who should carry the can for it,but given I only heard the Radio,I thought it might be unfair of me to unload on Shannon Motlop.

But Cameron Ling did and boy,did he really pay out on Motlop, virtually bagging him to pieces on MELBOURNE Radio.

It was Sourpusses all round, with Joel Selwood having a sling at the Umps over a non decision with the Tomahawk. Then the other Scott followed his brother act in crying over spilt milk with his moody blues press conference, apparently not giving the opposition their dues.

They are still a Premiership threat, but some of their efforts have been bone lazy and Disrespectfull to the opposition. That won't get you far come Finals time.

Sorry Grass man, missed it first time. I believe that cats best is as good if not better than any of the other callengers, that ( for me ) is the good news. Our imports Danger Smith and Henderson have been superb. Problem??, blokes like Mackie play bruise free footy as does motlop, especialy against the teams we should beat by 5 goals. Back in our halcyon days, we could flick a switch and that would be good enough, the blokes these days aint as good as them. Plus bomber taught em to respect the game no matter who ya play, thats no longer the case. lastly blokes like caddy guthrie motlop duncan, are prepared for Paddy or Joel to win the game, time for the the blokes i mentioned to step up to the plate in games like last Saturdays. Plenty of talent in the bank in the ressies, it all depends on ATTITUDE and Scott being able to instill that in them
