Attention Fremantle players and coaching staff. That is the standard you must aspire to, work towards and must achieve. I hope you are watching.

And it was impressive - in parts.

For me, the Eagles play too much "pretty" football. Great to watch, and if it succeeds, you can't complain.

I would like to see them play more get down and get dirty football - but perhaps that's not the vibe these days.

I tend to agree JS the WCE wont get past next week playing that lairising footy they played at times last night especially when the game is on the line. To be honest they were lucky they were only playing Essendon as a better side like Hawthorn they would not have got away with that against!

I think Rioli, Ryan and Jetta are capable of a bit of lairising because they can. The rest should stick to hardball footy. I know this is the Freo site, so one last word on the Eagles. After watching their last 3 games, I won’t head into their next one with any confidence.

After watching tonight's game I didn't see anything to be afraid of.

Particularly the Handbaggers - if their only game plan is to bomb it high into the forwards and hope for the big mark, Simpson (and his back line) should be rubbing their hands together.
