Some light appearing at the end of a long tunnel for Freo perhaps. They probably would have taken 3 - 2 in the first 5 rounds and its just a pity that they stumbled against Gold Coast when they were in a winning position. Its amazing what difference the presence of Hogan and Lobb has made to guys like McCarthy and Taberner who are now starting to play to their potential.

Taberner has always been prone to brain fades. That's an area of his game he needs to iron out. But he looks the most likely one to take a big grab. That makes life easier for the likes of Hogan and McCarthy and Brandon Matera is starting to play the type of football he is capable of and he should be licking his lips each week because that's the type of forward structure tailor made for a small forward.

A guy who's going under the radar is Ethan Hughes. I think RL commented earlier in his career his physique is Fyfe like and while he hasn't got Fyfes leap his hands are as good as any in the air. Seems like he's cemented a place in that backline.

It will be tricky at the selection table this week if both Cox who seemed to suffer a foot or ankle problem late in the game, and McCarthy are fit to play. I like Switowsky's pace and goal sense and like to see him hold his place.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Tricky, although not a bad situation to be in for Fremantle. Taberner has certainly stepped up and matured, his potential has been spoken of for a few seasons so hopefully for Fremantle and their supporters he can continue on, although not too well DD - if Fremantle chalk up another couple of wins before round 10 poor old Spud will get himself into a right old lather, get his blood pressure up etc so for mine let's see Fremantle return to their good/bad old days and cop and few good old fashioned beltings.
