What stood out for me is our field kicking is shit. Lost count how many times we kicked to the oppositions advantage. They cut us to ribbons in the midfield the exception being Brad Hill who couldn't have done much more.

It was pathetic DD. After promising so much last week as well. If Gold Coast had kicked straight they would have won by 8 goals. Remember the Suns are rated as the potential wooden spooners this year and as you said they spanked the Dockers in the midfield. Get ready to hear the same old rubbish and excuses from Lyon.

I think Ross gambled playing a big forward 6 with Lobb, Hogan, Taberner and McCarthy up front. Hogan spent a fair bit of the second half in the midfield but we lacked speed and with all that tall marking power I can't recall too many taking marks withinin goal kicking range. We need to find the next generation coming through. Going to be a while before Stephen Hill and Blakely are available. I'm not sure why Adam Cerra is playing off a half back.

I am at a loss to understand why they thought 4 big forwards was a good idea. With Darcy thrown in as well they looked lumbering at times compared with the suns. I reckon they thought they could get away with it given the opposition. If you disrespect any team in the AFL you generally get bitten on the bum. Next week Taberner goes back to Peel and Hogan, Lobb and McCarthy should be the forward. Makes room for another pacier player.

I guess with all those talls in Freo's forward line makes ex Freo boy Sam Collins game saving mark even for meritorious.....

For as bad as Freo played today.They allmost got up in a game they should of lost by 5 goals+.Gold Coast kicking at goal was shocking in the 3rd qtr.

Im glad Ross recruited a key full forward and played him on the ball. Lyon is a smug conman, who continues to spin carp. He was happy freo hung in there for so long today ya know!!

Lucky GC kicking was shit, otherwise it would of been a blow out, they pretty much dominated.
