Disappointing for the Skipper and the club.Possibly a Second Brownlow or a top 5 finish.Just the year Freos having. The Crows in there current state are beatable at Optus Oval.Only 2 key fwd fit and 3 key midfielders down.

Going to be interesting to see how they go without their best player and leader. Crows really are ripe for the picking.

Both teams will be desperate for a win, but Crows would have to be favorite.

The next realistic chance of a win for Freo comes against the Blues, a game that will be pivotal for Lyon and the dockers, if they lose this weekend and then the Cartlon game there is going to be fall out.

This season is looming as a train wreck for Fremantle with another loss at home looming against the struggling Crows and I reckon Carlton will fancy themselves to notch up win number 2 the following week in Melbourne. Fyfe has form with these clumsy head high bumps and clearly hasn't learned a thing by past digressions, some he has been lucky to get off on. I reckon he is a frustrated player.

We have a dysfunctional forward line and I am believing Ross Lyon is incapable of developing a football team with an attacking and confident mindset. Maybe we do have the talent there but the setup doesn't allow for a free scoring mindset? Is it too much to ask to leave Cam McCarthy one out in the goal square with a small forward nearby in support? Are the opposition going to ignore them and leave them there alone in the forward line? I think NOT.

every team in the comp would ignore McCarthy if he was standing in the goal square by himself including Fremantle.

Freo's best forward is Walters & by a fair margin but for some reason Ross plays him in the midfield way too much.. leave him in the forward 50 for the entire game & pi55 of McCarthy to Peel..

Yep, Carlton would be in the grunt over in Vic to knock them off, I agree re the train wreck, make no mistake as Brad Hardie said after the loss this weekend - the CEO et al thought that they were finals chances at the start of the season., the down grading of expectations and pretorian guard they are forming around Lyon is more to protect themselves and the decisions they have made.

You listening to Fanta Pants? should try Hackdorn as well. Nobody at Freo was looking to finals, they were looking to develope the list and thats what they are trying to do.

Tim Watson was absolutely on the money last weekend when he queried how a Grand Finalist in 2015 can go down so quickly and stay there? Where was the forward planning to ensure the club built on its success back then and maintained a top 8 position like Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney etc invariably do year after year? Matthew Lloyd questioned Lyon's blooding of new players or lack thereof until its too late at the start of the season....maybe that same question should have been asked a few years ago.

Watson was spot on, and Lloyd pretty much answered the question poor list managment and despite the Lyon Pretorians guards denials, they genuilely thought that by hanging onto aged list they were still in finals contention, yiou only have to look at the decision to hang onto Ballantyne for another year to get a clue.

Lyon has done the same to Freo as he did to Saints, and they are still paying.
