Good summary Anchorman. I think Ross was impressed with the quicker ball movement as well and expect to see Mundy and Fyfe rotated a lot more through the forward line. What did you think of Matera's game?

With the return of Alex Pearce, the acquistion of Wilson, the continuing presence of Spurr and Sutcliffe and the development of Cox, Ryan and Logue, Johnson may struggle to get regular games this year if the injuries stay under control. I'm sure they will be able to use his experience somewhere though

I watched the game with quite a bit of interest, in particular the new guys and was pretty happy with what I saw. Brayshaw is ready to play, theres nothing absolutely brilliant about him, he just does everything well. Banfield surprised me as I had read he was a Priddiss type player, not so this guy is pretty quick and gets to the right positions. Alex Pearce slotted back in very well and with only 20 odd games to his name is like a new recruit. Matera didnt figure in much but gave effort, I think he will work his way into the side. Looking forward to seeing Cerra play, played well for Peel on the weekend and we should see him soon. Then there is Tabener, anyones guess what he will do, certainly has the physical side of football but the mental side is a problem. Wilson was more servicable than brilliant but very happy to have him in the side. Was dissapointed in Cox who I have always rated highly, he just doesn't seem to compete hard enough at times. Overall there is a change in the plan that will take time to develope and wouldn't expect much, if any ,more wins this year but next year should see this side develope into a reasonable side.

Thought Taberner was good and liked the look of Brayshaw and Banfield.
