First sight of Darcy was in the ruck at the centre bounce. Wearing Haselby's old number 4. Seemed to get his hands on it in the ruck contests but nothing stood out. They said he'd shed a lot of weight since arriving. Griffen did most of the ruck duties and will be first choice back up to Sandi given Clarke is out for the first half of the season. Expect Darcy to play a full season with Peel so we will need to track his progress there.

Only the first practice and they will improve...by how much is anyone's guess.

Last year we won all our preseason games and had one of the worst seasons ever. 2014 The Eagles beat us in the same game by about twenty goals and we won the minor premiership that year.
These games mean nothing apart from trying extra players out.
Freo is on the right course and it will take some time.
A bit premature to read much into these games.

How did the Swans' boys play?

Logue didn't play. Walters looked alright. Did some good things. Blakely showed signs that he might have a better season than last or at least continue in the same vein. TBH though there wasn't a lot of positives to take away. We were completely outplayed.
