I was happy with either of the two. Players voted and Fyfe won, guess that puts a hole in the players not liking Fyfe. He will be a fantastic captain.

Personally would have gone Lachie Neale and rewarded committment to the club.

Surely you are not questioning the loyalty of FyfeDwert.He has given the club eight years of devotion.

Agree 8 eight devoted years, so then why will he not commit for a another contract extension? Completely understand theindividual looking for the best deal for himself , however is that a quality that you would like a captain to be openly displaying?

A/man with respect to rumours, based on some of Hackdorn's comments you presume that someone spoke to him My suspicions would be that there was one person and a mirror speaking to himself and then he could say he has heard . . .

When a club has a bad season it is always a recipe for rumours founded or unfounded to be spread.

For the record I think that Fyfe will stay. It is all about getting the best deal for both him and the club.

agree $wan$29m..it's my understanding as a restricted FA he has the opportunity to field offers which Freo must match if he's to stay...why wouldn't he get the best possible deal on the table then see if the dockers will come to the party? at days end he can still accept a lower offer from Freo but it does give him some bargaining power if he can take on offer of say $1.5m per year from another club into the contract negotiation meeting with Freo.
