Check your inbox 58shark. It was Peter North who deleted yours and other posts not JB. As a result JB is now the sole moderator on the Fremantle board. I reinstated most of the posts on that subject.

Have to agree , shit moderators of late.

Anyway... Freo have recruited OK. No big fish which is surprising given there salary cap must have plenty of room. Hill is in danger of being the next Des headland, came from a great team.

Still massive questions, where will the goals come from without pav, including crumbs?
What if Sandi goes down again?
Where is the hardened back line?

Once again your dislike for Fremantle has distorted your assessment of new recruit Brad Hill who was a star from the get go and always performed on the big stage. His skills are elite, it's just a shame he didn't come a couple of years earlier, Pav would have dined out on the silver service Brad Hill has been serving up to the Hawthorn forwards over the last 4 or 5 seasons.

But Fremantle will not be short of forward options next year and we will be less predictable. Opposition teams are used to double and triple teaming the great man Mathew Pavlich, now they won't know which way the ball is coming in. Could it be via McCarthy, Taberner, Kersten, Walters, Fyfe? Exciting times ahead.

If we can get Harley humming on one wing, BH on the other, Lachie in the guts, Fyfe running amok wherever he likes. Bring it on. Tuggster who's your team again?

Where is Hayden Ballantyne in the scheme of things I wonder? He made it quite clear publically at the end of the year that he wanted to leave the Dockers but because a trade could not be organised he still finds himself in purple. You would have to wonder about his mindset going into 2017 based on his statements and unless there are injuries galore next year I suspect he may be playing a lot of WAFL.

I think a lot of what was said re: Ballantyne was more to do with getting a 3 year deal and when Freo refused his management tried to put pressure on via talks with W.C. Of course no club would give him a 3 or even 2 year deal so he had to eat humble pie. What happens now will depend on his attitude. Will be hard for him to get a game I would think.

I actually think the tugboat makes a good point. Hill would have been the fourth or fifth most important ball carrier through transition at Hawthorn whereas at Freo he'll be expected to be right up there with Fyfe and Neale. The analogy to Des Headland is also a valid one as he was one who benefitted from a Rolls Royce set of mids at Brisbane but struggled at Freo.

I think that's an insult to Brad Hill to compare him with Des Dickheadland as he was often referred to. Plus I think you are underestimating Fremantles midfield BC. We will have one of the best and deepest midfields in the comp next year with the likes of Blakely, Wellard, Tucker, Balic etc.... going into their 2nd and 3rd years.

Add Brad Hill and Harley to that plus Fyfe, Neale, S. Hill, Mundy and Walters who spent a lot of time up the ground last season and it's exciting times ahead. Buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Just have to wait and see, he certainly wont do any harm. I think his biggest assett for us is that we get a bit more pace around the middle, someone to get the ball to who can possibly break the lines a bit. We haven't had that sort of player for awhile.

From reports & what I saw 1st hand Cam McCarthy trained the house down @ South & looked brilliant especially towards the later part of the year

If he has got his mind right & from all reports he has, could see him easily kicking 50 goals + in ‘17

He is an interesting player McCarthy, plays like the old fashion type of full forward. Leads quickly and kicks pretty well. Bit smaller than most of the big forwards, but not by much. I dont think the year off would have hurt too much and he seems very eager to play well.
